The Board's Mission:
To provide funding to Pueblo Community College and its students through Foundation approved fund raising activities for student scholarships and special needs identified by the College

Rogene Armstrong
Mrs. Armstrong graduated from Hasting College in Hasting, Nebraska, in 1949. She is a retired Pueblo School District No. 60 teacher. She served on the boards of the Parkview Foundation, El Pueblo...An Adolescent Treatment Community, Junior League sustainer, Pueblo Symphony, and the YWCA. She was married to J. Robert Armstrong and they have two sons whom are married and live in Oakdale, California, and Atlanta, Georgia. |

Carla M. Barela
Ms. Barela attended the College of Mount St. Joseph, Cincinnati, Ohio, and received her B. Mus. Ed in 1968. She then attended the University of Colorado and received her M. Mus. Ed in 1971. She is currently the President of Cortez Construction Co., Inc. and has been there for 27 years. She currently serves on the boards of Colorado State University-Pueblo Hasan School of Business Advisory Board, and the Business Women's Network. |

Kathie Bassett
Mrs. Bassett is the Director of Business Development/Public Relations with Bassett Construction Company. She serves on the boards of the Soaring Eagle School of Autism, Parkview Hospital Foundation, and Newborn Hope. |

Chuck Campbell
Mr. Campbell is the Editorial Page Editor at the Pueblo Chieftain. He currently serves on the Pueblo Memorial Airport Advisory Committee as chairman. He served on the boards of the Pueblo Child Advocacy Center, Junior Achievement, and El Pueblo...An Adolescent Treatment Center. |

Warren Curtis
Dr. Curtis received his A.A. Degree from Pueblo Junior College; his B.A. from Western State College; his M.A. from Colorado College and his Ph.D. from Laurence University. He is married to Ardell and they have two children, Kendell and Kristen. He retired from Pueblo Community College as Vice President of Student Services. He currently serves on the boards of Kiwanis Club of Pueblo; chairman, SunWest Educational Credit Union; and past chair of Back Country Horseman. He is active with various horse related organizations and Foundation Officer for Pueblo County 4-H. |

Jay Dammann
Mr. Dammann retired as owner of Industrial Gas Products. He currently serves on the boards of the 2010 Commission and Pueblo Rotary 43. |

Mr. McCarthy graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1989. He is married and they have three hound dogs. For the last 10 years he has been the owner of Castle Invesments and Loan. He currently serves on the boards of Pueblo Performing Arts Guild, Steel City Theater Company, Puebloans by Choice, and Pueblo Downtown Association. |

Jim Milam
Mr. Milam is a retired Air Force Colonel - Chief of Education. He currently serves on the Pueblo Community College Advisory Council. He was the former Chairman of the Colorado State Board of Veterans Affairs, and was State Chairman and special advisor for Veterans Affairs. He was County Commissioner from 1975-79 for Fremont County. |

Martha "Marty" Poole
Mrs. Poole is a retired teacher from Pueblo School District No. 60. She currently serves on the boards of the Pueblo Symphony and Sangre De Cristo Arts and Conference. |

Robert Redwine
Mr. Redwine attended Colorado College and graduated in 1971. He is the owner of Redwine Kelly Financial Services. He currently serves on the boards of the Rocky Mountain Public Broadcasting Service, the Sterling Group, and US Bank. |

Renee Rodriquez
Ms. Rodriquez attended the University of Southern Colorado. She has three children and is a partner at Express Personnel Services. She currently serves on the boards of United Way, Workforce Development, and Neighborhood Works. She chairs two personnel commitees - one for United Way and the other for the Latino Chamber of Commerce. |

Walter Schepp
Mr. Schepp is a retired hotel owner. He attended Columbia University, New York, and graduated in 1958. He is married to Gloria and they do not have any children. He currently is the Assistant State Coordinator for the AARP Safe Driving Program. He is the past president of the Canon City Library Board and the Golden Age Center. |

Jeff Shaw
Mr. Shaw attended CSU - Ft. Collins and graduated in 1993. He received his J.D. from St. Mary's University in 1997. He is married and they do not have any children. For the last nine years he has been employed at Shaw & Quigg, P.C. |

Sharon L. Swerdfeger
Mrs. Swerdfeger attended the University of Southern Colorado (SCSC) and Pueblo Community College from 1965-1968. She has been married to Keith Swerdfeger for 41 years and they have four children and nine grandchildren. She is a secretary/treasurer of K.R. Swerdfeger Construction. She currently serves on the boards of South High School Alumni Association as president, and Parkview Hospital Foundation. She has served on the YMCA and the Colorado Business Educational Coalition boards. She loves to travel and spend time with their children and grandchildren. |

Ted Trani
Mr. Trani attended the University of Colorado and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1969; he received his MBA from the University of Southern Colorado (now CSU-P) in 1993 and MS Degree in Management in 2004 from Colorado Technical University (CTU). He has been married to Clara for 37 years and they have two children, Lisa and Marc. He is a business, management and computer consultant, educator, and trainer. For the last 10 years he has owned Trani Consulting Group. Before that, he was the Executive Director of the PCC Foundation for one year following a 21 year career with what is now Aquila Electric. In addition, he has taught at PCC and CSU-P, and is currently teaching as an adjunct professor at the CSU-P and CTU. He is very active in the community and has served on numerous boards. He currently serves on the Pueblo Symphony Board. |

Judge Joe T. Ulibarri
Judge Ulibarri graduated from several colleges. He received his A.A. Degree from Pueblo Jr. College in 1963; his BA Degree from Southern Colorado State College in 1965 and his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Denver, School of Law in 1970. He is married to Juanita Montoya Ulibarri and they have two daughters. Judge Ulibarri retired from the City of Pueblo Municipal Court in 2002 which he served for 23 years. He was the last graduating class of Pueblo Jr. College (1963) and in the first graduating class at Southern Colorado State College (now Colorado State University - Pueblo). He currently serves on the Parkview Medical Center audit committee, the boards of the Latino Chamber of Commerce Development Corporation, and the Pueblo Housing Authority. |

John Verna
Mr. Verna attended evening classes at Pueblo Community College from 1954-1955. He has been married to Nadene for 50 years and they have three sons, Bret, Mitch and Kevin. He is retired from Big Johns Landscaping but continues to work for the community focusing his efforts on safety issues, economic development, improvement of the infrastructure, affordable housing and education and served on City Council from 1996 through 1999. He has served on a number of boards and is currently the President of the Medal of Honor Foundation and the Pueblo Chemical Depot. |

Mr. Welte is President of Summit Brick and Tile. He currently serves on the boards of the Brick Industry Association Manufacturers Council as vice-chairman, St. Mary Corwin Foundation, and the St. John Neumann School. |
