Mary Jo Ryals
A donation of $250,000 established the Ryals Professorship of Language and Leadership, a position initially filled by world-renowned author and presidential speech writer, Dr. James Humes. In 2003, the University presented Jarvis and Mary Jo with the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service to Education. A gift to the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center led to the establishment of the Ryals Family Library which houses nearly 800 art resource books. Included in the collection is the personal library of western art collector Frances E. King. |
