ABOUT PUEBLO COMMUNITY COLLEGE: This two-year community college is located in a quiet residential area in the southwestern section of the city. Program offerings include vocational training and transfer programs for community college students. College students may earn a one-year certificate or two-year degree. Other campus locations: Southwest Center, Durango, CO and Fremont Campus, Canon City, CO.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This full-time position is assigned to the Fremont Campus located in Canon City and reports on a day-to-day basis, to the Coordinator of the Nursing program at the Fremont Campus who reports to the Director of the Nursing program. This position works with the Fremont Campus Nursing Program Coordinator, the Pueblo Campus Nursing Program Director and the Dean of Health Professions to address curriculum requirements and other matters related to the department. This position is under the overall supervision of the Dean of the Fremont Campus. Duties include providing student instruction in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines, and maintaining required program standards for the Nursing Department and following State Board of Nursing guidelines and work with the Coordinator, Director, Dean and other Nursing program faculty in establishing laboratory schedules, student advising, recruitment, and assists with assessment and evaluation of students. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum: Master of Science in Nursing or currently enrolled, with satisfactory progress, in a regionally accredited Master of Science Nursing program; must be able to obtain a current license to practice Nursing in the State of Colorado; must possess or be eligible for Colorado Vocational Credential which requires completion of the CCCS approved Career and Technical Teacher Induction Program; commitment to working with a diverse population; willingness to attend required meetings, training sessions, or other related functions; willingness to work as a team member; good written and oral communication skills; and active participation in community programs including civic, charity, or professional organizations.
Preferred: Clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing and three years of teaching experience.
Necessary Special Requirement: Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screening and background check.
All degrees must be earned from a regionally accredited institution.

Starting Salary Range: $35,000 - $51,000 - Dependent upon position, experience, education, and funding
