GENERAL SUMMARY
The Coordinator of Continuing Education reports to the Director of Community Education and Training and is responsible for the coordination and project management of non credit course offerings, workshops, and adult programs. This includes the Customer Service Academy, Elder Institute, Teacher Recertification, Life Enrichment, Personal and Professional Development courses and related services offered through CETD, This position will serve as a liaison with the community and CETD continuing education instructors.
Additionally, this position will develop curriculum for specific topics related to professional development, customer service and non credit classes.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinates new and existing program development, delivery, and marketing with appropriate PCC departments.
2. Works closely with community organizations that support and provide partnership opportunities in developing programs and course delivery.
3. Identify, and participate in the hiring of part-time continuing education instructional staff.
4. Supervise part-time hourly non credit instructors for CETD programs.
5. Continue to build relationships with the community within the PCC’s service area and the local Workforce Centers to assess their needs and assist them in developing strategies to address pre-employment, personal development and customer service training issues.
6. Promote CETD’s education, training and related service options by developing marketing strategies with Director and PCC Marketing Department
7. Review training resources and develop new programs and curriculum to be delivered through various teaching methodologies, incorporating relevant technology.
8. Accountability in generating revenues and balancing expenses in new and existing programs.
9. Seeks and obtains training funds for programs through grants.
10. Carries out Assignments as may be required by the Director of Community Education.
OUALIFlCATIONS
1. Bachelor’s Degree with two or more years of experience in coordinating, developing or oversight of training programs, non credit course offerings or other related experience
2. Supervisory experience
3. Project management experience or new program development
4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with the diverse constituencies served by higher education.
5. Experience in developing, analyzing, summarizing, and reporting data necessary for planning and reporting purposes.
6. Successful marketing experience.
7. Experience in writing grant proposals.
8. Experience in managing budgets for continuing education programs or similar programs, or accountability in program expenses.
9. Knowledge and experience in curriculum development and/or identifying new curriculum resources
10. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
11. Ability to work in a team
12. Ability to work flexible hours
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check as a condition of hire.

Starting Salary Range: $33,000-41,500 dependent upon position, experience, education & funding
