ABOUT COMPUTER SERVICES

Pueblo Community College’s Computer Services Department offers faculty, staff and student support for all information technology, network access and equipment. This  includes computing and telephone services and their peripherals. Staff members are located on the Pueblo campus in the lower level of the Davis Academic Building, Room 034.  

COMPUTER ACCESS

New Employees:
As part of the hiring process, new employees must make a written request for computer access using the Access Request form. This form is also required to set up e-mail and for initiating access to FRS, SIS, Liberty or VAX/Banner programs, since these programs are accessed through the PCC network. Forms must be completed legibly, accurately and completely.

Access or Request to Modify forms must be signed by the person requesting access, his/her immediate supervisor or designee and by the Vice President for Administration and Finance, located in CA-206. The form is then forwarded to Denise Ruybal in the Computer Services Department for processing. Denise will send the requesting department an e-mail confirmation once the account has been set-up. Log on and any other pertinent information will be included in the e-mail.

Software Policy:
Upon employment with PCC, all employees are required to review and sign the CCCOES system Software Policy. The purpose of the policy is to prevent copyright infringement and to protect the integrity of the Pueblo Community College computer environment from viruses and other threats.

HARDWARE, SOFTWARE, SUPPLY ORDERS AND INSTALLATION

Software:
All software must be ordered through the Computer Services Department using the Requisition Request form in Ultimus. Ultimus is located on the desktop of all staff, faculty and administrators.  Alice Dall coordinates all software related purchases out of the Denver system office. She is also able to provide price quotes and software licensing information. If you need to place an order for software, please call Alice at 303-595-1570 or e-mail her at Alice.Dall@pueblocc.edu.

IT Purchases:
Computer Services coordinates all IT related purchases. This includes computers, hardware, software, telephones and all other related equipment.  If you need to place an order or have questions related to the IT purchasing process, please call the IT Help Desk at ext. 3350 or send an e-mail to Help@pueblocc.edu.  

IMPORTANT

Plan ahead whenever possible on equipment or software needs. All software orders are processed through the system office in Denver and require lead time due to the high volume of requests processed for the 13 colleges.

Peripheral Equipment:
Equipment such as printers, fax machines, scanners, etc., must be approved by Computer Services prior to purchase. Call the Help Desk at ext. 3350 for assistance.

Passwords and Miscellaneous Requests: 
Forgot or need a password? Don't know how to log onto WebMail? Need to know how to install CITRIX on your home computer? Call the Computer Help Desk at ext. 3350 on campus, 719-549-3350 from off campus, or by e-mail at  Help@pueblocc.edu.

Telephone Operation:
Requests for telephone service, including cellular and pager services, are made by calling Denise Ruybal at ext. 7003 or by e-mail at Denise.Ruybal@pueblocc.edu. Denise is responsible for the coordination and establishment of phone service on all PCC campuses and is able to assist with questions regarding training in the use of the CISCO telephone system, equipment operation and set-up of voicemail.

Computer Services Telephone Help Desk requests can be sent to Telephone Help at Telephone@pueblocc.edu or you may call Denise at the Pueblo campus by dialing ext. 7003.
